OMG… I’ve been away from the blogging for quite some time. But today I received a letter that made me login and post just for Little Miss Emily.
So a shout out to Little Miss Emily – as you may have already figured out, red is not one of our favorite colors, but we will make certain to add a red color combination package just for girls like you. In fact, give me a week and not only will we create a red combo to add to our collection, I will send you one asap for such a persuasive letter to add red (and maybe send just a box of red crayons. We suspect your red crayon may be at the end of its life)!

So we’ve gotten a ton of guesses on what our Little Miss Penny (benny bo penny… she responds to Penny bo benny), but no one has it nailed down. I’m going to extend the contest to May 15th and give you a few more clues. Send your guess(es) to annie@yellowandpink.com.
We got our first puppy when we got back from Jamaica (our wedding in January) and thought we had made the biggest mistake of our lives! After 6 weeks or so (I’m not a parent, but some say our nights of interrupted sleep to do crate/potty training is similar to parent-watch… but it was torture and many times we dreamt about Cooper somehow escaping from our yard and we would once again only have to worry about ourselves), our little Cooper became a permanent fixture in our family. And how quickly forgot the miserable days and nights…. because we decided to rescue a puppy since she had no home! We couldn’t NOT take her in. Poor little thing was lost. She’s just adorable! I can only hope that she’ll grow long hair so she can sport some barrettes! 
I know… my promise of blogging was short lived. But I have a new excuse. Yes, I have lots. But maybe you can understand this one… we’re getting married. Whoo hoo! Go me! =)
Yes, we’re off to Jamaica. And maybe when I’m there, I’ll be inspired to add new barrettes to the site. But I definitely will come back a blogging maniac! Hee hee.

My poor excuse for not blogging – we moved! Packing, moving, unpacking… why did I think it was a good idea in the first place?!
I promise to blog at least 3x a week … that is until the wedding. Ha. Always an excuse.
So the most interesting thing about our new place is the wild peacocks. Yes. Peacocks! Check out the proof below … two buddies crossing the street, walking up our red path…
We had a barrette sighting at Mozza. It was the night of the championships … yes, we were eating during the game. Don’t worry, FH*future hubby* tivo’d the game and we turned off the radio when we dropped the car off with the valet. Anyway, my only regret from missing the game that night is that I could not record my parents cheering. Not sure how they became fans of Superman, but seniors cheering loudly for Superman is quite a sight. I promise to get it up next year!
Anyway, I have been dying to go to Mozza. And here we are …. all of a sudden …. barrette sighting! Whoo hoo! Great dinner and barrette sighting. LOVE IT.
Btw, you must try the Crispy Pigs Trotter with cicoria & mustard (pictured)! And the cheese … from the mozzarella bar … it was the special so I can’t remember the name, but it was leeks with olive oil drizzled all over the plate. DELISH!
So random, but I remember Embarrass was the winning word for me in our grade school Spelling Bee. Hee hee. But ok, my story….. I was out in Manhattan Beach walking around with the future hubby (FH) and we’re waiting for a light. This trendy, hip young mom tells me that my barrette is super cute. Where did I get it? I’m smiling like a complete dork totally happy talking about Y&P. The light turns and she says … I think my daughter will just love your barrettes. And here I thought she was buying the barrettes for herself.
