Cute, Fun and Trendy Fashion Accessories including Barrettes! – Yellow and Pink No-Slip Trendy Girls Barrettes

Phew… we’ve been slaving away and want to introduce Y&P’s baker’s dozen!

We had a lot of fun adding the new Puppy Paw Prints, Kitty Cat, Apple and Go! Fight! Win! barrettes.  Hope you enjoy them just as much!

Starting from top left going clockwise:

Here are some observations about Penn State:

• Penn State grads have an instant love for one another
• Joe Pa knows football
• Penn State is referenced everywhere – from West Wing reruns to about every ESPN Sport Century story (unless it’s about a horse – who knew there were so many other famous horses besides Seabiscuit)
• Do not think about interrupting a football game (this also applies to the Steelers and Penguins … according to FH, Pittsburgh is title town 2009)

And now ……….. drum roll…. or better yet, a snippet of Zombie Nation …whoa whoa ohhhhh… whoa whoa ohhhhhh…duh dum duh dum….whoa whoa ohhhhhh…. We are Penn State….whoa whoa ohhhhh… whoa whoa ohhhhhh…duh dum duh dum …. the We Are barrette!!!!!!

PS Personally, I think the Go Bears! barrette will have a bigger fan base…. as soon as we make a barrette for the California Golden Bears!   =)

PPS Is that song stuck in your head, too?

If I ever have a daughter (keep your fingers crossed), our lives will be so much easier if:

• she loves Hello Kitty
• her favorite colors are yellow and pink
• she’s a girly girl (I’ll tell you my camp story another time… maybe if we ever add a camouflage barrette in honor of my future father-in-law and My Big Redneck wedding)

Hm… how did I get so sidetracked?   I’m writing to introduce our new barrettes.   Hello Kitty!   YAY!   I’m just waiting for the pictures to come back and they’ll be up on the website this month.   Please check back or sign up for our blog so you won’t miss it!

We recently got a custom order from a member of the USC Lacrosse Club Team.   She promised to send pictures when she comes back from summer break.   In the meantime, you’ll have to settle for our standard pictures.   =)   

We will be adding them to the webpage soon.   So check back in about a week for the V barrette (V for Victory and also for my cousin who is a die hard season ticket holder) if you’re a big Trojan fan.   

If you’re interested in a custom order, please send an email to annie@yellowandpink.com.   Let us know what you are looking for (colors, flowers, gems, occassion, etc), tentative order amount (number of pairs), and any other pertinent information.   We will get back to you within 24-48 hours with a reply/quote.   Try us out … custom orders can be priced as low as our regular barrettes.

And before my FH has a heart attack, we have some barrettes coming out for Penn State fans (We Are … Penn State) and my soon to be all time favorite – the Golden Bear barrette (grrrah grrrah grrrrrrrah!).   We’re just waiting for the pictures to come in and will post them soon.   Definitely in time for football season!

Ask and you shall receive…… we are carrying hats.   And our first picture is of Little Miss  C.   My favorite 7 yr old in the world.   She’s so adorable.   And she loves hats!   Can you really not love someone who knows fashion at such a young age?!

(Side note:  She is wearing a size small … and probably would be more comfortable in a medium.)

She also liked the barrettes.   Not sure if the barrettes and hats go together… but hey, she still looks fabulous!

Welcome to the world of Yellow and Pink (my favorite colors)!   This whole store came about because I love kids.   And I love buying them gifts that stand out and whether practical or not, there’s no doubt that it’s just absolutely adorable!

So I was looking for a fabulous gift for Little Miss B.   Little B recently just turned one, but has already pledged her undying love for headbands and hats.   She rocks one in every picture that I have seen!  Anyway, I was meeting her parents for the first time – my future cousins-in-law – in San Diego and in desperate need of finding THE gift.   And then it came to me.   Barrettes!   Little B will just love them.   Off I went to make barrettes for the first time.   In less than two hours, I made 8 barrettes, packed for a mini-getaway weekend, and hopped in the car to head down to San Diego.

The whole drive down, I was so excited and just rambling to my future husband about what had just happened – how great it is to have a creative outlet, how much I love these barrettes, and wondering what else can I do!  And that’s the beginning of Y&P.    Creating a store and products that makes me think of cotton candy, candy apples, ribbons, rainbows, hearts, stickers…. everything that I loved when I was 5… and obviously still love!   It’s a place I hope you’ll visit often to find that perfect adorable gift to spoil the little one that you love oh so much!
